Voice Style
Bright and expressive with real emotional range. Tess voices Salvos' demon protagonist with the exact mix of naive curiosity and growing menace the character needs.
About Tess Irondale
Tess Irondale narrates Salvos, with an expressive voice for its demon protagonist. Salvos starts as a newborn demon with zero context for the world, and Tess grows the voice with the character across a 13-book series. That's more personality shift than most narrators get to play with in an entire career.
Where to Start
Salvos: Curious Beginnings. You're following a newborn demon with zero context for anything, and Irondale's voice grows up with her across the series. It's the rare monster-MC book where the narration IS the character arc. Start at book one — the naivety is the point.
