Her first real bond is Haec, a fellow demon, and their odd little friendship gives the early survival arcs actual warmth. Under the hood it's a clean progression loop: levels, titles, evolutions, and each one changes how Salvos fights and how she thinks. The prose is simple — it started as a Royal Road serial and reads like one, which stands out more as the books get longer. The plot beneath the voice is fairly standard, too. But the voice is the product. Tess Irondale captures Salvos' manic energy so well the character feels engineered for audio. 11 hours, 4.6 from 1.1K ratings so far, thirteen books deep.
